First Entry

Every blog entry has to have a title. This one is so original. Finally we told the church our news Sunday morning. At the end of the service we have a time of announcements and when we broke the news first of Jeanine's pregnancy and then that there were twins, two times the church erupted in applause and cheers. You can listen to it here (www.ridgewoodnjcrc.org). Follow the link on the left side to listen to the service. On the next page click on the full service from April 26. Wait for the page to load and then move the indicator almost to the end - or listen to the whole thing. It was a good sermon, too. We invited everyone to have a cupcake and share our joy - it was a very good thing.

During the offering Jeanine told me that she fell down the stairs at home before coming to church. She said she felt fine, but when we got home after our little cupcake celebration she called the doctor who said she should come in for a precautionary ultrasound on Monday afternoon. I had to umpire so I could not go but after I finished I called her to see how it went. Everything came out fine - still two babies, still two heartbeats, and one of them moved while on sonogram camera. So we got new pictures of the two Broekies just hanging out in there. I'll try to scan them in and post, if the quality is any good. Someone at church suggested bringing a video camera to the ultrasound appointments. Interesting idea. No video camera in our possession, though. Oh well.

Anyway, the news is out. People are excited. Jeanine has had a few good days in a row. God is good.
